Al-Baqoroh

This study aims to analyze the concept of the prohibition of riba in QS. Al-Baqarah verses 275–279 and examine its relevance to the practice of Islamic finance in Indonesia. The focus of the study is directed toward understanding the meaning of riba according to classical and contemporary tafsir scholars, the theological foundation of its prohibition, and the implementation of anti-riba principles within the modern Islamic financial system. The research also seeks to explain how Qur’anic values are translated into regulations, financial products, and operational mechanisms of Islamic financial institutions in Indonesia. The research employs a qualitative library-based method. Data were collected through the review of Qur’anic verses, classical and modern tafsir works, Islamic economic literature, and Islamic finance regulations such as DSN-MUI fatwas and OJK guidelines. The data were analyzed using a descriptive-analytical approach to identify the relationship between the concept of riba prohibition and the practices of Islamic finance. The findings indicate that riba is understood as an additional charge required beyond the loan principal without productive activity, which leads to injustice and exploitation. Tafsir scholars affirm that the prohibition of riba aims to uphold economic balance and fairness. The study also reveals that anti-riba principles have been practically implemented in Indonesia’s Islamic financial system through the use of permissible contractual structures, profit-sharing mechanisms, asset-based financing, and Islamic capital market instruments such as sukuk. The study concludes that the prohibition of riba is not only theological in nature but also highly relevant in practice. These Qur’anic principles have successfully become the foundation for the development of a more just, transparent, and welfare-oriented Islamic financial system
Siti Nur JuliantiRizka MahardikaChofifah Wahyu Hidayah

The development of e-wallets, mobile banking, fintech, and paylater features facilitate transactions and expand consumption choices for Generation Z students. This study aims to (1) describe the socioeconomic characteristics of parents of Generation Z students in Jambi City, (2) analyze the influence of digital financial literacy on student consumption expenditure, and (3) examine the influence of parents' socioeconomic conditions on student consumption expenditure. The study used a quantitative approach with a survey method and primary data through questionnaires on 156 respondents. The variables of digital financial literacy (X1) and parents' socioeconomic conditions (X2) were measured using the Guttman scale (1/0), while student consumption expenditure (Y) was measured on a ratio scale. The analysis was carried out through validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and coefficients of determination. The results showed that digital financial literacy had a positive and significant effect on student consumption expenditure, while parents' socioeconomic conditions did not have a significant effect partially. However, both variables simultaneously had a significant effect on consumption expenditure with a very high model explanatory power. This finding confirms that in the context of Generation Z students, the intensity and ease of digital transactions are more dominant factors in explaining variations in spending than family background
Muhammad IrgiansyahZamzami .Jaya Kusuma Edy

This study aims to analyze the impact of motivation and religiosity on employee performance at the Unit Usaha Syariah Bank 9 Jambi. This research employs a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data was collected using a questionnaire distributed to 34 employees of the bank, measured using a Likert scale. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. The results show that motivation has a significant positive effect on employee performance, with a regression coefficient of 0.364 and a significance level of 0.000. Similarly, religiosity has a significant positive effect on employee performance, with a regression coefficient of 0.481 and a significance level of 0.002. Simultaneously, both motivation and religiosity have a significant effect on employee performance, with an F-value of 18.431 (p < 0.05). These findings suggest that both motivation and religiosity play a crucial role in enhancing employee performance in the Islamic banking sector. It is recommended that Unit Usaha Syariah Bank 9 Jambi continue to consider motivation and religiosity in its managerial policies to improve employee performance. This research also opens opportunities for future studies to examine other factors influencing employee performance.
Fadhlidzil IkramLucky Enggrani FitriAry Dean Amri

https://journal.uaindonesia.ac.id/JIB/article/view/1242

This study aims to analyze the implementation of employee work discipline at the Regional Research and Innovation Agency (BRIDA) of Jambi Province. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation with informants consisting of leaders and employees of BRIDA Jambi Province. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, as well as data validity testing using source triangulation. The results of the study indicate that employee work discipline at BRIDA Jambi Province is quite good, but not yet fully optimal. This is evident from several indicators of work discipline, namely attendance, compliance with work regulations, compliance with work standards, level of alertness, and work ethics. There are still employees who arrive late, leave after work hours, and do not comply with established regulations and procedures. However, some employees have demonstrated a fairly good work ethic and responsibility in carrying out their duties. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen inherent supervision (WASKAT), firm leadership, and continuous coaching to improve employee work discipline at BRIDA Jambi Province
Eka Wahyu PermadiZulfina AndrianiTry Syeftiani

This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study at BMT NU Singgahan Bangilan Branch. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with management and customers, participatory observations, and document analysis. The HSIL of this project is the application of the rahn tasjily contract on MSME barokah products that have succeeded in minimizing financing risks for BMT and providing easy access for MSME actors to get business capital without losing their assets.
