A LEARNING STYLES OF ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT STUDENTS MEDALEM AT MI HIDAYATUL MUTA'ALLIMIN (CASE STUDY IN MI)
Abstract
There is one factor that can affect learning achievement, namely learning style. Learning style is a way that students use in receiving, absorbing, and understanding the learning given by the teacher during the learning process takes place. This thesis aims to determine 1) the learning styles of students with academic achievements. 2) factors that influence the learning style of students with academic achievement. The learning style of students with academic achievements in grades IV and V when the teaching and learning process tends to be less conducive. There were some students who talked with their peers, did not pay attention when the teacher was explaining but these students when asked were still able to answer and won the class prize. This study uses a qualitative approach using the descriptive method, namely describing things related to the learning styles of students with academic achievements. Data collection techniques used in this study by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study are 1) students with academic achievement at MI Hidayatul Muta'allimin Medalem have different learning styles. Of the 12 students with academic achievements, they have visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles. There are 2 students with a visual learning style, 7 students with an auditory learning style, and 3 students with a kinesthetic learning style. 2) The learning styles of students with academic achievements at MI Hidayatul Muta'allimin Medalem Senori are influenced by three factors, namely physical factors related to the students' physical health and physical condition, psychological factors related to motivation, intelligence, interest, talent, and student readiness. Environmental factors, namely the family environment, such as parental attention and meeting children's learning needs and the school environment, this is related to the teacher's way of teaching and the relationship between students and teachers.
