Melalui program Kuliah Kerja Nyata Tematik Participatory Action Research (KKN T-PAR), mahasiswa Universitas Al Hikmah Indonesia berupaya memberikan solusi berupa pelatihan pembuatan pupuk organik cair (POC) dengan memanfaatkan limbah rumah tangga.
Shelvyna RikantasariZakiyatul ImamahKholishudin -Heri Kuncoro Putro

https://journal.uaindonesia.ac.id/index.php/jcee/article/view/1196

This community engagement program was implemented to address the issue of seasonal income instability experienced by the residents of Simo Village, most of whom rely on agriculture as their primary livelihood. Their economic condition becomes vulnerable during the non-harvest period, creating the need for alternative skills that can generate daily income. The program focused on enhancing the community’s ability to process soybeans into ready-to-consume tempeh—an activity that is easy to learn, requires low capital, and meets stable market demand. The main objective was to equip residents with technical skills in soybean processing while fostering the development of small household-based enterprises using local food resources. The activities employed the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach, emphasizing the identification, utilization, and strengthening of local assets through active community participation at every stage. The strategies included asset mapping, participatory planning, technical training on tempeh production, assistance in sanitation and marketing, and continuous evaluation. The results indicate a significant improvement in residents’ technical skills, the establishment of a tempeh producer group, behavioral changes related to hygiene and product quality, increased entrepreneurial motivation, and the emergence of local leaders who support program sustainability. Beyond providing direct economic benefits through daily income opportunities, the program also encouraged social transformation by strengthening social capital and fostering greater community self-reliance.
Zulfatun - AnisahAgus Wahyu IrawanLaila Murningsih Novrian Wakhidah

https://journal.uaindonesia.ac.id/index.php/jcee/article/view/1273

A.M Miftah AnshoriSyamsul ArifinShoin Nur HasanatinSiti Fatimah

This research was conducted in Dagangan Village, Parengan District, Tuban Regency, with the aim of developing processed banana products into original banana chips and melted chocolate banana chips. Kepok bananas were chosen as the raw material based on their dense texture and distinctive flavor. The research method included material selection, peeling, slicing, frying, chocolate coating (for the melted variant), cooling, packaging, labeling, and organoleptic testing. The results showed that the original banana chips produced a crispy and savory product, while the melted chocolate variant offered a modern, innovative flavor that was more appealing to children and teenagers. The simple processing process allows the village community to produce chips with limited capital, although challenges such as high oil content and chocolate stability at room temperature remain. Airtight packaging and informative labels have been shown to maintain quality and increase product appeal in the market. Economically, the banana chip business can increase community income, create new jobs, and strengthen village independence. This study concluded that banana chips have significant potential as a superior product in Dagangan Village and can be further developed through training, technological innovation, and digital marketing strategies.
Ahmad SuyantoSiti Nur FaridaNur Lailatul FitriVita Fitriatul Ulya

https://journal.uaindonesia.ac.id/index.php/jcee/article/view/1335

This community service program aims to empower the local economy through vegetable and fruit cultivation and marketing based on Islamic economic principles in Sidorejo Village, Pagelaran District, Malang Regency. The program addresses limited community knowledge of sustainable cultivation practices, particularly fertilization, and weak market access for small-scale farmers. Activities were implemented through counseling, hands-on training, and mentoring using a Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) approach. Technical assistance covered planting media preparation, balanced fertilization using organic and inorganic inputs, crop maintenance, and post-harvest handling. Islamic economic principles such as fairness, transparency, and collective decision-making were introduced in the marketing process. The results show improved community knowledge and skills in cultivation practices, better crop quality and yield, and increased farmer participation. Field documentation confirms effective knowledge transfer and active community involvement. In conclusion, integrating participatory methods, agricultural technical assistance, and Islamic economic principles effectively enhances community capacity and supports sustainable rural economic empowerment.

Keywords: community empowerment, participatory rural appraisal, Islamic economics, vegetable cultivation
Tika Diliana
